2000 SHIRAZ
Mount Torrens Vineyard is located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia and has an elevation of 450-500 metres above sea level.
Solstice Shiraz is produced from very low yielding vines, using traditional wine making methods including Basket Pressing before being aged in French oak.
Solstice Shiraz is an exceptionally well balanced wine with great texture and silky tannins. It shows refinement and integration normally found in much older wines.
This Estate Grown cool climate Shiraz has subtleness and charisma and will age well in he bottle for many years.

2001 SHIRAZ
Mount Torrens Vineyard Solstice Shiraz 2001 continues the fine tradition of a cool climate Shiraz. The vines are grown on east facing slopes which attract early morning sun, ensuring even, slow ripening.
The grapes were harvested in late April when flavours were at their peak.
The vineyard is managed to produce very low yields of Shiraz, which in turn produces fruit of exceptional quality. The fruit is hand-picked, and the wine is produced using traditional methods, including Basket Press and ageing in French oak.
Solstice Shiraz is an Estate Grown cool climate wine which shows a unique full flavour and balance. The wine is extremely well structured which will enable fine bottle ageing.

The 2002 harvest which took place on the 11th May was very low yield and produced extremely high quality grapes.
The wine is produced using traditional methods and has been aged in French oak for 2 years.Solstice 2002 Shiraz is a fine example of how well the shiraz grape shows it's unique regionality.
This wine will cellar well and offer many years of enjoyable drinking.

The two varieties are hand picked together and then co fermented using 8% Viognier, they are then aged in French Oak for 18 months.
The wine has exceptional balance and structure.
